Awesome place for quick breakfast to take to the beach. We go every time in Dewey before we head to the beach with our dogs. coffee with every meal and great egg sandwiches. They also always have water out for the pups. Quick service, good food, good coffee. What more can you ask for?

Dropped by Sharky's while walking my dog in Dewey Beach and had a milkshake (black & white). It was fantastic. My dog was very welcome here and the owner was a really nice guy. Their food looked really good as well but the milkshake was more than enough to fill me so I will have to try out their food the next time I stop in.

Sharkey's seems like an institution/hole-in-the wall here in Dewey, and I must say they delivered some tasty Cubano sandwiches on our breakfast run before heading to the beach. The Cubano was delicious, very tender slices of pork, ham, and cheese, on a bun that had the texture and firmness that I grew accustomed to on my weekend trips to Miami. We also tried the breakfast sandwich ($5.75) which was a grilled egg, cheese, and choice of sausage, ham, or bacon. I opted for bacon on an english muffin and it was a McMuffin on steroids. Least I not forget they serve free coffee for patrons! I myself am a huge coffee snob and instead strolled over to the convenience store across the street to get a cup of Green Mountain dark roast Espresso blend, but for those who don't mind standard run-of-the-mill coffee, then you'll save yourself $3. Cheap, tasty, plenty of seating on their patio, and free coffee...what more could one ask for? Thumbs up.

I was thoroughly unimpressed with my breakfast today. I would much rather have preferred McDonald's. The fruit was defrosted from frozen fruit bags and the meat was rubbery. The quality of the food was a disappointment. Everyone raves about how great the breakfast is but the food was horrible, like it was straight off the Sysco truck. Definitely not worth the high prices.

Hole in the wall indeed. Stopped in for breakfast with the gf and she ordered the pancakes. I heard good things on yelp about the Cuban sandwich and not so good things about their breakfast food so I thought let's see if they make sandwiches at 9am. Turns out they do. After ordering at the window we took a seat at their outdoor deck, which is the only option available. They offer free coffee, which I thought was a nice perk. The food came out about 10 minutes later. The 2 pancakes comes with a syrup packet on a styrofoam plate. The pancakes were fluffy, but dry and needed every last ounce of syrup. 2 stars. The Cuban does not come on Cuban bread, but it is still tasty and a good portion of meat. The sandwich comes with a bag of ruffles. I'd give it 3 stars -- not sure how anyone could give it a 5. 2 stars for the pancakes, 3 stars for the sandwich and a 1/2 star bump for the free coffee. Sharky's is good for that quick breakfast, Cuban sandwich hankering, free coffee, or dog friendly spot. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but you could do a lot worse.

So far I've only been here for breakfast foods. Their breakfast sandwiches are decent but nothing special. I usually get the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. One thing I really do like is their hash browns. It's not and crispy squares of potatoes. Their pancakes are soft and fluffy by doesn't take any better than Ihop or Denny's. They have grilled cinnabuns, too. I don't recommend them. They are like frozen cinnabuns and also very dry. I would not order them again. They also have what's called Sharky's hot sauce. It's more like a sweet chili sauce. It's very sweet and not spicy at all. For a good fast bite to eat this is a good option. I pretty much eat at Sharky's every morning. Coffee is on the house with your breakfast. I hear that their Cubans are very good. I still need to try it so hopefully soon!

Stop in every year for the special lump crab breakfast burrito. Limited seating but well worth the wait. Free coffee!

This place is an absolute hole-in-the-wall, but is well deserving of your hard earned cash - heck, they even have a sign in the store trying to justify how expensive everything is. Sharky's is known for their breakfast burritos and their Cuban sandwiches. Back in August I had a Cuban. All I can say is WOW. It was not necessarily gourmet, but boy did it hit the spot when I was very hungover.

This is our go-to spot in Dewey Beach for breakfast and lunch. If Sharky's were open for dinner, we would eat there as well. The crab melt (basically like a tuna melt, but with crab meat) is so wonderful! I wish I could eat that in NYC and didn't need to drive all the way to Delaware for it...but it's worth it. Crab melts from Sharky's are a highlight of our summer!!

Truly the best breakfast at the beach! Love the pancakes and my children love the French toast! We walk there in the morning, enjoy the free coffee and delicious food. It's a must-stop place for us whenever we are in town.

I really wanted to like this place, I mean they're pet friendly and have free coffee and the owner seems to be a nice guy. However, the food was overpriced and under-flavored. I ordered an egg and bacon sandwich on wheat toast and hubby ordered a cuban, which you would think would be delicious since there are signs suggesting you try one, leading one to believe that it's their specialty. I was actually quite shocked when I unwrapped my sandwich to add salt and pepper and discovered this sad, thin fried egg topped with a circular piece of bacon. The bacon was tasteless and the egg had no flavor whatsoever, I had to add an ungodly amount of salt just to make it edible. Hubby's cuban was just okay, nothing to write home about, unlike the one he had a few weeks prior at another establishment. The one saving grace to the whole meal as the hash brown potato chunks, they were hot and quite tasty. To add insult to injury Sharky's doesn't accept credit cards so I had to pay $3 to use the ATM conveniently located in the makeshift restaurant. It's pretty bad when you find yourself saying I wish we had gone to McDonalds. I gave it 2 stars because it's dog friendly and the owner was very hospitable.

Spent a day at the Dewey Beach in Delaware, this place was right next to the exit where we come out of the beach. If you have a pet, this place is convenient, because there are picnic table outside, the pet can actually go in, it is like a shed really. The menu is typically seaside fare, Fried Shrimp, chips, wraps, sandwiches etc with seafood as main theme. If you don't eat chips, they will give you a bottle of water and a packet of crisps, but charge the same price. It is no gourmet food, but it is convenient by the beach and fast and pets are welcome.

I came here for breakfast. Read yelp reviews and was so convinced from other yelper's that they had great customer service. It was JUST OK. The hype on yelp is overrated in this since. There is very limited space to sit. There are 3 park bench type tables and stools around the exterior, plus another park type bench out front. You order your food, they scream your name a few times to come and pick up food. There's free coffee. That's why I wanted to come!! Bring cash, they don't take credit cards. There is an ATM on the premises, however there was a guy that was trying to get money but the money did not come out!! They were trying to fix the machine. Poor guy, that's the worse feeling. I hope they got it resolved. My breakfast sandwich was pretty good. The coffee was hot and just what I needed to help wake up after a previous night of partying. I will try another spot for breakfast next time since the food and service were just average.

Excellent!! Stopped by this establishment on our way home from ocmd. Food was phenomenal. I missed the breakfast 'last call' and sharky himself asked if there was anything I needed. I requested a grilled sticky bun (which I totally recommend) and he gave it to me on the house! The Cuban is also amazing! Great casual beach feel location.

I want to love this place, I really do. The service was great, we walked up and were immediately greeted by a man who introduced himself as Sharky. He told us about many of the menu items, and made some recommendations. We thought the prices were a little steep, but usually places like this give you heaps of food. However, when we received our food, we were disappointed to find that the $5 onion rings was a total of 6 rings! The food was delicious, but you don't get much for what you pay. Also, they charge a plate sharing fee! I've never seen such a thing at an out-doors beach snack shack sort of place. At upscale restaurants, sure, but not a joint like this. Also, it was quite weird that you pay after you eat. They made mention that they have people walk out before paying. I think that if they have you pay first, like other places, you wouldn't have that problem, it would save money, and possibly bring prices down. I don't want the cost of some jerks' free meals passed down to me.

Very good sandwiches and wraps! I like the laid back atmosphere here. A few picnic tables set up near some shady maple trees...makes you forget you're sitting next to a highway. The owner Sharky is most always there which I really like. He is nice to talk to when he's socializing...a bit grouchy when he's actually working. I always get the turkey wrap here. Very good. It's a bit pricey at $9.50 but it's hard to find any cheap food in Dewey. A turkey foot long at Subway is $8 to put things into perspective. I have also ordered a turkey on toast at Sharky's. It's not on the menu but they made it and it was only $6. Nice sized sandwich and I took it to the beach with me. Free coffee; dogs are welcome and there's a large water bowl available Only open for breakfast and lunch. I believe they close at 2pm daily.

This is not a high end restaurant, it doesn't try to be. It is a high end food shack and the owner makes a statement by being there to help out, serving free coffee and being dog friendly. Sharkey is not making a killing here he's just getting by, so cut him a little slack. If he's having a bad day , he's human , so tell how much you appreciate having a chill place to come to in Dewey ...Its the freaking beach!

Sharky's is one place I ALWAYS make sure to visit when I am in Dewey! It's a cute little place to grab food from right off the beach. The first time my boyfriend and I tried it a few years ago, we ordered the cuban sandwich to share. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It has been the one and only thing that has tempted me time and time again since I've given up meat. Anyway, we finished our cuban and were raving about it to the other guy seated near us. It turned out to be Sharky himself, and he ordered us another one for free! Great customer service from not only Sharky, but all the other employees as well!! It's kept us coming back every single beach trip.

We read that this place was pet friendly and since we had our dog with us on our beach trip we thought we would give it a try for breakfast. First impression was very positive as we were cheerfully greeted at the door by Sharky himself. I was surprised when I ordered a coffee and he pointed me in the direction of his coffee station and said... "Coffee is free here"... Although we only ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches and some hash browns.. which were great... I really wanted to let everyone know this place is super friendly and it's obvious Sharky really cares about the customer. Another patron told us they swear by the steak and cheese every time they come to the beach. It's great to see there are still some restaurants that really enjoy a friendly chat with the customer while providing good food.

Great egg sandwiches and coffee. Tiny little place less than a block from the beach, outdoor seating only, but we come here all the time when at the beach. Coffee is complimentary with food. Dogs are welcome as well! Brought our dogs over while picking up breakfast, "Sharkey" invited them in and got some ice water for them! Great place.

I have to say, the food at this place is delicious. Also, the gentleman who took our order was absolutely sweet and patient (considering how packed they were). I originally looked it up through the reviews on Yelp and had to try it. I brought my family here while we were on vacation. The establishment is moreso of a take-out joint, there is very limited seating. I wouldnt recommend going there in large parties unless you want to eat standing up, or somewhere else. We originally ordered 4 crab breakfast burritos, the funnel cake fries, four drinks, etc. The only complaint I have is that when they called us for the $60 order they had only given us 1 burrito, two drinks, and the fries. They eventually gave us the proper order, but it was just very inconvenient since it took 20 minutes to make the food in the first place, and then another 20 minutes for the second order they missed. Besides that, the food was awesome. The burrito was a little spicy, but just enough to be managable for anybody. And the funnel cake fries, OMG, definitely try those!! They were so yummy. The owner/or manager was walking around creating conversation with us all which was very nice. You can tell they care able the customers in this establishment. He even apologized for the inconvenienced and offered free food. I definitely will return to this restaurant when I go back down to the beach, although only if I am already in the Dewey area. I probably wouldn't go an hour out of my way again to get there.

I love that the owner is always there making sure that everyone gets what they need ... but this place used to be great and now is merely average. The food is still good and everyone loves a free coffee but I used to go there for the milkshakes which used to be the bomb. Not anymore. Try the scrapple for something new, and get it extra crispy. I actually finished my breakfast the first day and Sharky told me that if I was still hungry he would give me more food, no charge. My favorite place to go for a cuban sandwich in dewey beach. The prices have swelled in the past few years but ill let that side since the food is consistently good and its always fun to talk to Sharky.

Thumbs up.

Awesome place for quick breakfast to take to the beach. We go every time in Dewey before we head to the beach with our dogs. coffee with every meal and great egg sandwiches. They also always have water out for the pups. Quick service, good food, good coffee. What more can you ask for?
